Dr. Jonathan Goodwin, a native of Michigan, joined GSVS as a cardiologist in 2008. Dr. Goodwin completed his cardiology residency at Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. He became a Diplomate of American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology) in 2009. Jonathan is a 1999 graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Goodwin has scheduled appointments on alternating weekdays; Tuesday thru Friday or Wednesday thru Saturday. Although Dr. Goodwin does not see all emergencies himself, emergent care is available 24/7 for cardiac emergencies. The GSVS emergency doctor will contact Dr. Goodwin when they deem appropriate to consult on a case if he is not in the hospital. The referring veterinarian will receive a report from Dr. Goodwin within 24 hours of the patient’s appointment at GSVS.
