Living Our Core Value: Evolution

Emergency medicine is one of the most rewarding and challenging paths in veterinary medicine. That's why within our family of GSVS hospitals, we’re committed to helping early-career veterinarians build the skills, confidence and support systems they need to thrive in the ER.
Our Veritas ER Veterinary (VERve) Mentorship Program is designed to provide a structured transition into emergency practice through hands-on training, clinical guidance and mentorship from experienced emergency and specialty clinicians.
During the initial training period, participants work primarily daytime shifts five days per week, allowing them to develop their medical and diagnostic skills in a supportive learning environment. Following training, veterinarians transition to a standard emergency schedule while continuing to benefit from collaboration with specialists and experienced ER teams.
The program reflects one of our core beliefs: growth never stops. Veterinary medicine is constantly evolving, and the best clinicians are those who remain committed to expanding their expertise throughout their careers. By creating opportunities for mentorship, we're helping young veterinarians build the foundation they need to succeed in a rapidly changing field.
By investing in the development of emerging clinicians today, we're helping shape the future of emergency veterinary medicine for years to come.
