Valuing our communities means bolstering efforts that protect animals beyond the walls of our hospitals. At our hospital, we work with the District Attorney’s Office, ASPCA and NYPD to support investigations and care related to animal cruelty cases across the borough.
In these situations, law enforcement and the ASPCA often work together to investigate reports, remove animals from harmful environments and pursue legal action. We contribute veterinary expertise by helping assess an animal’s condition, providing treatment and documenting findings that may help inform the case. Through this work, we help ensure animals receive compassionate care while contributing to broader efforts to hold individuals accountable and protect the community.
This collaboration reflects an important part of what Integrity means to us: doing what’s right, even when the circumstances are difficult, and using our expertise responsibly to advocate for those who depend on us.
