Oncology

The Oncology Referral Center at GSVS offers a complete oncology program through a combination of advanced medical, surgical and radiation therapeutics. Surgery, Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy and Radioiodine Treatment complete our circle of care. Our team of experienced specialists and technicians provide a multi-disciplinary approach to cancer treatment.

Michele Cohen, DVM, MS
Diplomate ACVIM (Oncology)
Diplomate ACVR (Radiation Oncology)

Michele is a 1999 graduate of Cornell University, The New York State College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a Master of Science Program at Auburn University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Dr. Cohen became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) in 2003 and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (Radiation Oncology) in 2005 and joined GSVS in 2007 as a radiation oncologist.

Seth Glasser, DVM
Diplomate ACVIM (Oncology)

Dr. Glasser was born in Manhattan but primarily grew up in Sullivan County, New York. After attending Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY Dr. Glasser took a year conducting pharmaceutical research and development. He attended Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine from 2003-2007 where his interest in medical oncology developed. After obtaining his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree he enrolled in a 1-year rotating internship program at the University of Minnesota. Upon completion of this program Dr. Glasser returned to the Northeast for a three-year medical oncology residency, which concluded June 2011 at the Animal Specialty Center. Since 2011, Dr. Glasser has worked as a Staff Oncologist at Animal Emergency and Referral Associates in Fairfield, NJ and AnimERge in Raritan, NJ. He has published multiple manuscripts and given numerous lectures on a variety of oncology topics.

Dr. Glasser has an interest in metronomic chemotherapy and fosters a multimodal approach to the treatment of cancer. He is extremely excited to join the team at Garden State Veterinary Specialists and is here to help work as a team in treating your patients!
